The Committee is a group of aces and joker-aces, most of whom were originally "discarded" contestants from the initial season of the American Hero television series. The discarded contestants joined John Fortune, Lohengrin, and Jonathan Hive in their crusade to help the joker population of Egypt. After the events of Inside Straight, the informal group obtained an official status recognized by the United Nations.

• Earth Witch - Founding member. Current member.

• Drummer Boy - Founding member. Quit at the end of Busted Flush and returned to his band, Joker Plague.

• John Fortune - Founding member and first Chairman. Resigned due to being depowered when Sekhmet left him at the end of Busted Flush. Currently travelling the world.

• Lohengrin - Founding member and second Chairman.

• Gardner - Deceased. Slowly dying from being bitten by the Hunger. Killed by the Wrecker.

• Brave Hawk - Current member.

• Snow Blind - Current member.

• Toad Man - Current member.

• Holy Roller - Founding member. Left to go back to his church in Memphis sometime in between Busted Flush and Suicide Kings.

• Jonathan Hive - Founding member and Committee investigator. Current member.

• Burrowing Owl - Deceased. Killed by the Radical at the Louvre.

• The Lama - Current member.

• The Llama - Current member.

• Garou - Deceased. Killed by the Radical at the Louvre.

• Babel - Current member and Vice-Chairwoman.

• Cameo - Deceased. Died from wounds received from the Radical after she defeated Monster.
