|First Appearance||Wild Cards|
Linc Traynor was an aircraft engineer and best friend of Jetboy in the forties. In 1939, he helped Professor Silverberg build the JB-1, the world's first jet plane and Jetboy's trademark vehicle. Linc was a pudgy, friendly man that could often be found working in Bonham's Flying Service in New Jersey.
Linc Traynor's fate is revealed in the Wild Cards comic book published by Marvel in 1990, in a story of questionable canonicity. It is implied that he was infected by the wild card virus after 1946 and became an ace with the power to build special gadgets, though it appears he was himself unaware of his ability, attributing it to natural genius. He befriended Smooth Eddy, the last surviving thug of Jetboy's enemy Dr. Tod, and built telescoping mechanical legs to replace the legs that Smooth Eddy lost. Eventually Linc Traynor passed away.
