Wanda Moretti is a minor character in the Wild Cards series of books.
Wanda Moretti was working as a court reporter in the late 1970s when the curious case of the Rat Hole murders occurred. Years later a fire ravaged documents of that era, and recovered fragments were forwarded to Moretti, leading her to look back into the circumstances surrounding that night of carnage in 1978. She took the damaged documents to Leo Storgman, a police detective with whom she had also had a brief affair in the past, and who had also been involved in the case. Together they researched more of the details surrounding the Rat Hole murders, while Storgman embarked on a personal crusade to reinvestigate them. Having been single for a long time, and with Storgman left a widower himself, the pair rekindled their romance before Storgman finally cracked the case just before he retired from the police force.
Wanda Moretti is an attractive woman with a poise and style undimmed by age.
